Introducing the Jundi fabric range

Recognising the original owners of our land and respecting the Indigenous culture is an important part of Australian history.

A design inspired by periwinkle shells seen through the water.

Furnware saw the opportunity to expand their fabric range to include a custom Indigenous range designed by Helena Geiger. The colourways have been selected to complement the current Furnware colour options.

Jundi (joon-dee) is the traditional name for Periwinkle shells.

About Helena

Helena Geiger is a contemporary visual artist with an Indigenous heritage of Gumbayngirr, from Northern NSW. Helena’s work is heavily inspired by nature's detail. Helena describes herself as an Indigenous artist producing landscape inspired work that is contemporary and relevant to current times.

Our sea is home to abundant marine life, and Aboriginal people have relied on these natural resources for thousands of years. This design tells a story that celebrates our Sea Country, including our tropical Islands and coral reefs and all the colourful seashells & seaweed scattered along the soft, cool sand and hidden in the shallow saltwater rockpools.
