  • State Sales Manager – QLD/SA

Over my time working in the Education Furniture Market, I have seen a lot of change in the focus on making a learning environment flexible and suitable to all students and the way they learn best. It is wonderful to work for a company like Furnware that is forward-thinking and able to move and grow with the needs of our customers.

I have a background in Interior Design with a passion for learning spaces and have been able to combine the two to help deliver many exciting projects over the past 11 years. I have worked with some incredible, inspiring educational leaders over this time and believe in change and progress and that every little we can do makes a difference.

I am a mother of two young children and love being able to learn from them and let them inspire me.

  • Senior Business Development Manager - VIC

As the daughter of an ex-teacher and principal, I have genuine love and respect for education, with a deep understanding of the challenges schools face. I’m a great communicator and value the importance of really understanding a customer’s needs, as the more information we have, the better our solutions will be. I love the creative aspect of designing spaces and working with our 3D Learning Spaces App, bringing all the elements, colour, furniture and classroom layout to life that meet the pedagogical objectives. • Senior Business Development Manager

Having involved in the transition away from traditional learning spaces in New South Wales schools, I work in a consultative way to understand a school’s vision and needs to help devise the most effective furniture and systems. The end goal is always enhanced student engagement and learning.

Making the move to an innovative learning environment can be daunting. It’s my aim to make the process smooth, collaborative and exciting for everybody involved. I feel honoured that I get to see first-hand how these changes are improving our education system and student learning overall.

  • Country Manager - New Zealand

  • Account Manager - VIC / SA

Since joining Furnware in April 2011, I have had the opportunity to build hundreds of meaningful and lasting relationships with schools across South Australia and North West Victoria. Looking back, one of the key factors in building these relationships is the collaborative way in which I work with schools to design and create great learning spaces. It’s wonderful to connect and share Furnware’s vision for inspiring children supported by the spaces in which they learn.

Having a world class student chair (Bodyfurn Sled Chair), has been and will continue to be one of our biggest points of difference. The ergonomic benefits are immense for every student, regardless of how they like to learn.

I truly believe that our genuine and caring approach to creating great learning spaces adds to the reason behind our success.

  • Account Manager - West Auckland / North Shore / Rodney / Northland
It’s been my pleasure to work in education for a decade. From designing playspaces, and managing them through to installation, to helping students understand the incredible STEM opportunities that are waiting for them once they leave school. I’m excited to work with our educators to create learning environments that assist them to achieve the highest possible positive impact on their students.

    Kia ora,

Schools are wonderful places and as an active mum of three busy boys, I understand the important role they play in all of our lives.

When it comes to collaborating with my customers, I never take a ‘one size fit’s all’ approach. Every school has a unique culture, and vision of what they want their teaching and learning to look like. With my diploma in interior design combined with a deep understanding of what makes an effective learning space, I ensure any solutions are well thought out, future proof and tailored to the pedagogy of the school.

Meeting people and building long-term relationships is something I feel very passionate about ‘kanohi ki te kanohi’ and I am excited about working alongside my customers, guiding them on their journey to implementing innovative learning environments.

    Nga Mihi.

  • Account Manager - Central and South Auckland
  • Account Manager - Lower North Island - East

Now well into my second decade at Furnware, I have a wealth of experience and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with schools across Hawke’s Bay and the central North Island – co-creating inspiring environments which improve learning outcomes.

I love working alongside dynamic educators, and the Furnware team, who are dedicated to helping schools achieve their goals. My consultative approach is to first listen and understand my schools’ needs before designing solutions. Building long-term relationships with customers means I share their hopes and aspirations and I also have a lot of fun on the way.

It’s great to have a passion for what you do, and I am motivated as a mother and grandmother of 7 to make a difference to young people. To enhance children’s ability to learn is a wonderful gift and I feel privileged to be a part of their journey.

  • Account Manager - Hong Kong

I believe building strong customer relationships through collaboration and support goes hand-in-hand when creating new and inspiring classroom environments; which is why I enjoy meeting and working with so many new people. I am extremely proud to be part of a team of passionate account managers who aren’t considered sales people, but consultants who provide innovative ideas and solutions to help teachers and principals create a special place for their students to learn and have fun at the same time.

There are so many enjoyable aspects to my job, especially watching students achieving the best they can while enjoying their time in the classroom. I love being able to bring our Furnware product and customer service internationally, collaborating with schools in Hong Kong to develop their 21st Century learning spaces.

  • Account Manager - Lower North Island - West

    Wellington, Wanganui & Taranaki

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past 20 years, it’s that a comfortable student is a focused student. Which is why I’m passionate about creating spaces to learn and grow that are filled with Furnware products. Enhancing learning outcomes for students is front of mind when I engage with schools and I pride myself on providing all the facts and information to allow informed decisions with the best outcomes for everyone.

I love coming up with solutions and opportunities to create a unique learning environment and the most satisfying thing about my job is returning to a newly outfitted classroom and seeing the happy faces of students interacting with their new space. It’s absolutely fantastic to know that what we offer makes a difference to learning.

  • Account Manager - Upper South Island

I am passionate about working with schools, sharing my vision for furniture as a considered investment in the well-being of the student, while creating inspiring learning environments that exceed expectation. I’m no stranger to managing large projects and will rise to any challenge, having previously worked with a multi-million dollar budget, supplying 60,000 individual furniture items for the City of Glasgow College.

Having customers for life is something Furnware as an organisation take seriously, and I am committed to providing a world-class customer service, from the initial consultation to delivery and beyond. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work for a company whose values align with mine, where I can really make a positive difference in the classroom.

  • Account Manager - Lower South Island

I have always loved working with materials and it's exciting to work for such a progressive company that designs and manufactures furniture from Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand. The furniture we make is thoroughly researched and developed from the conversations we have with educators, so I know when we collaborate with our schools, we are not only offering the highest quality school furniture, but products that have been specifically designed for the learner and the classroom.

Over the years, I have developed my strengths around overseeing a project through the entire process, enjoying the attention to detail and providing outstanding customer service. I’m dedicated to building strong customer relationships, to better understand the unique needs of my schools and work closely with them to design successful, one-of-a-kind learning space solutions that deliver results.

  • Account Manager - NSW

I began my colourful career path as a teacher, my experience as only one of two teachers in a remote NSW school, was almost as interesting as teaching 14 kids remotely via a 2-way radio. This was before the days of the internet and Skype - quite a challenge. Saying ‘over’ at the end of every sentence when calling my mother on the phone, was a habit that was hard to break.

As much as I loved teaching, travel and adventure was calling and where best to start than working for an actual airline. For the next 12 years, I performed a multitude of roles for Ansett - from tarmac planning, rostering, even bringing in the Concord for British Airways.

Things got a bit more ‘serious’ when I moved to the corporate side. At one time, American Express had the biggest corporate travel company and it was here that I developed my passion for building meaningful and lasting relationships with clients. I managed a team responsible for looking after the travel needs of huge multinational companies including Microsoft, Johnson and Johnson, GM motors and Ford.

Over the next few years I would work for Citibank looking after all Australian Government travel business, set up a sales team to focus on new corporate business for Qantas and work for a variety of businesses implementing sale strategy’s and ongoing account management.

The opportunity to work at Furnware came at a time when I was ready for a new challenge and I can’t wait to get back in the classroom to work with teachers and form new relationships with schools all around NSW.

  • Account Manager - QLD

There is something very satisfying about working with the education sector and making a difference in children’s lives. Previously I worked with schools developing and designing their school uniforms, assisting with colours and fabrics occasionally being involved from the ground up, from the hand loom process through to the sample stage. I loved seeing the finished product being worn and how proud and happy the kids were with their new uniforms.

As a mother of three I felt an instant affinity with Furnware. The fact that there is so much research and development that goes into a Furnware product is something I feel strongly about - there’s a reason behind why these products are being made. What really interests me in my role is I get to bring all of my skills to the table, my design capabilities and knowledge as well as my communication and consultation skills and that’s exciting.

  • Internal Account Manager - Australia
With my mother being an educator, I have witnessed her guide, teach, and encourage students with a range of different learning abilities to succeed. I believe this has allowed me to understand that we have a responsibility to provide all students with a platform to learn in an environment that is comfortable, inclusive and safe.

At Furnware, we have the unique opportunity to make this a reality with our consultative approach with customers, enabling us to really understand the environment in which they want to teach to provide the best learning outcomes for all students.

  • Internal Account Manager - Australia
My education journey started in High School when I would usually volunteer to tutor Mathematics to my classmates. Since then, I would always have a special affection for teaching, whiteboards, and classrooms.

This sentiment joined me on my path through University, where I studied to become a Bachelor of Business and was offered to work as an Algebra and Calculus Teacher Assistant while studying, to develop and perform lessons in auditoriums for classes as big as 80 students. This is where I began to understand the students’ requirements at all levels, finding ways of improving their (and our) learning process.

The ability to identify people’s needs has been very important in my professional career, to tend to every person and company’s necessities, have a goal-oriented mind, and create solutions that will benefit everyone is a passion that I strive for; which is why when I was presented with the opportunity to work at Furnware, I knew I could, in some way, apply my affection for teaching by helping to create learning spaces that will best assist and improve the educational process for young minds in Australia.

We are extremely fortunate to have strong, collaborative relationships with education associations across the globe. Some as a business partner, others as a supporter of their conference and events. Many of these relationships have spanned years and continue to grow and evolve.
