Like you, we have been watching COVID-19 developments around the world closely over the past few weeks. Following the New Zealand Government’s announcement to close non-essential services for a minimum of four weeks, Furnware will discontinue manufacturing operations from our New Zealand base, as of 2pm Wednesday 25th March. We fully support our government’s move to try to stop the spread of the virus and keep our communities safe.

Caring for our people

Furnware is a family-owned business and the health and wellbeing of our team and our customers always comes first. No employees in our New Zealand, Australia and Singapore teams are affected by the virus and while we are preparing them to self-isolate, we are also putting in place systems to support them through this period.

Continuing our service

All transactions, email and phone enquiries are unaffected by this change as our administration, sales and service teams based in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore are working remotely to support customers. If you do not wish to meet with us in person, we are well placed to undertake consultations via video, including presentations and 3D renders of learning spaces.

frequently asked questions

I placed an order recently; will I still receive it?

Some orders have been manufactured and dispatched, and we are advised these will be delivered as per their due delivery date. Unfortunately, some orders have either not been manufactured, or have been manufactured and are unable to be delivered to the school. If you are a customer affected by these delays, we will be in contact with you directly.

Are you open for business?

Yes, our administration, sales and support teams in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore are all working remotely and continuing to receive and process orders.

When will your factory start operating again?

The New Zealand Government has requested that all non-essential businesses or services remain closed for four weeks. We will keep you updated as to when we are permitted to resume manufacturing.

What is your lead time now?

All our furniture is made to order and we have standard lead times for each market. These lead times will apply as soon as our manufacturing operation resumes. These are:
New Zealand – 4-6 weeks
Australia – 6-8 weeks
International – 12 weeks

Can I still have a consultation?

Yes. If you do not wish to meet with us face to face, we have many tried and tested ways to connect with you for a consultation. The best way is via video conferencing. We can discuss your vision for teaching and learning, design the space and easily create a quote for your consideration

Can I get a quote?

Yes. Our sales team are available to generate a quote for you. While we are not yet sure when our production facilities will be open again, we can certainly book your order in.

Can you draw up a 3D render for me?

Yes absolutely.

Can you take my order right now?

Yes, we can process your order, however we will be unable to confirm a delivery date. We will however get your booking in the system and keep you updated when production resumes.

Are your suppliers still supplying you?

Many of our suppliers are based in New Zealand and they too have a forced closure. Therefore, like Furnware, they will not be open for four weeks minimum.
