Curiosity and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Every day we ask ourselves, how we can help teachers and students create happier, healthier learning spaces that support better outcomes in the classroom?
From early childhood to tertiary education, our furniture is designed for real classrooms and built to the highest standards of quality and durability.
Great learning environments start with understanding how students move, sit and focus.
Furnware designs are built on decades of research and development to support better learning. Our furniture promotes natural movement and comfort, helping students stay focused for longer and engage more effectively in learning.
Furnware has been designing furniture for schools since 1934.
In 2003 we studied posture, movement and behaviour across more than 20,000 students in classrooms. That research led to the development of the Bodyfurn® chair, a world-first dynamic seating design that supports comfort and movement.
Today, our New Zealand team continues to design thoughtful furniture used in learning environments around the world.
Our flagship collection, Bodyfurn is ergonomic seating that has become an icon in classrooms around the world. Designed to breathe and flex with the student, this chair promotes freedom of movement and better wellbeing. Born from extensive classroom research, testing and design, the Bodyfurn range helps students stay comfortable and focussed for longer.
Our designs haven’t come easy. We’ve developed them from years of research, studying real bodies in classrooms and developing innovative furniture that allows students to move, adapt and thrive.
Furnware products are designed to stand the test of time. Flexible, ergonomic furniture that lasts the hours, days and years a child spends at school. And we build with value baked in; every chair comes with a 10-year warranty, delivering greater value across its lifetime.
