'Best in class' for mindfull range at 2025 australian good design awards

Award Winning | Our partners at Mindfull Spaces took out a double win including 'Best in Class' at the prestigious Australian awards.

We’re thrilled to celebrate our partners at Mindfull, who have been recognised with a prestigious Australian Good Design Award along with being presented, a ‘Best in Class’ award in the Social Impact category.

Presented in Sydney on 17 October, the annual Good Design Awards are one of the world’s most respected design programs, celebrating innovation that makes a positive difference to people, communities, and the planet.

Innovation with impact

Mindfull’s award-winning range of sensory-friendly furniture empowers neurodiverse learners to self-regulate, refocus, and thrive within the classroom - an achievement that aligns closely with our shared belief that every student deserves a learning space where they feel safe, comfortable, and included.

“Mindfull enables neurodiverse students to self-regulate within the classroom through a range of non-traditional furniture. By creating safe spaces for under, or over-stimulated learners, it keeps students engaged and learning alongside their peers. Smart, innovative and impactful design for education.”

Designed for inclusion and wellbeing

Designed in New Zealand, the collection combines research, empathy, and thoughtful design to support students with sensory needs, fostering calm and focus within existing learning spaces.

The Mindfull range includes flexible furniture solutions - from quiet pods to seating that allows gentle movement - each crafted to help students choose between stimulation and sanctuary, enabling them to remain engaged in learning.

“We’ve seen firsthand how Mindfull is changing the way schools approach student wellbeing.
This recognition is testament to the incredible design thinking behind every piece - furniture that not only looks good but genuinely makes a difference for students who learn in unique ways.”

Matt Whyte, Founder of Mindfull Spaces

This award highlights the impact of design-led thinking in education and builds on Mindfull’s success at the New Zealand Best Design Awards last year, where they won Gold in both the Product and Social Good categories, along with the prestigious Purple Pin for Social Good.

We’re proud to partner with Mindfull as they continue creating environments where every student can belong, participate, and thrive.
