  • Can Bodyfurn® products be recycled at end of life?

Yes. Bodyfurn® chairs, desks and table systems are designed to be disassembled into individual components, allowing materials to be recycled at the end of their usable life.

Bodyfurn® Flex seating incorporates recycled polypropylene, with the plastic component containing up to 92% post-consumer recycled material. Depending on the product, Bodyfurn® Flex seating is between 89–92% recyclable, with additional material suitable for downcycling.

Due to their durability, many Bodyfurn® products remain in use well beyond their warranty period. If you require spare parts or would like advice on end-of-life options, our team can assist.

  • How does the Bodyfurn® height system work?

The Bodyfurn® height system is based on extensive research and measurement data collected from thousands of students across different age groups. This data is used to establish size ranges that support posture, comfort and usability over time.

Rather than sizing furniture for a single cohort, the system helps schools select chair and table heights that suit the typical range of students likely to use a space across multiple year levels. This supports long-term use, reduces the need for frequent replacement, and helps ensure furniture remains appropriate as students grow.

Our team can provide guidance on suitable height selections based on year groups and learning environments.

  • How should whiteboards be cleaned and maintained?

For day-to-day cleaning, use a dry, clean cloth, microfibre cloth or whiteboard eraser. Cloths should be replaced regularly, as pigment build-up can reduce cleaning effectiveness.

For more thorough cleaning, we recommend using Furnware Power Cleaner or a quality liquid whiteboard cleaner. Greasy residue can be removed with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent, followed by rinsing with clean water and drying with a soft cloth.

Avoid household cleaners, as these can damage the writing surface. If marks persist, changing your whiteboard marker brand may help, as whiteboard performance can vary significantly depending on marker quality.

For further cleaning tips, see our our Cleaning Care Guide.

  • How is the lead time calculated?

The lead time of 4 weeks shipping, is based on factors within our control, calculated in business days, and excludes weekends and public holidays. We will always do our best to meet this turnaround time. Your account manager will be in regular contact to ensure your order is processed as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

  • What if I need a custom colour or finish?

Colours, sizes and finishes of the Express Range are predetermined (as pictured). Alternative sizes, colours, fabrics and finishes are available from our standard product offering and may result in additional charges and will follow standard processing and delivery timelines. Reach out to your local account manager for further details.

  • What happens if my furniture is damaged in transit?

If your furniture arrives damaged, please notify us as soon as possible and provide photos of the damage. Our team will assess the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution in line with our delivery and warranty process.

Where damage has occurred during transit, we’ll work quickly to repair or replace the affected item.

  • What laminates does Furnware use, and how should they be cared for?

Furnware sources high- and low-pressure laminates from trusted suppliers, including Laminex and Bestwood. These laminates are selected for durability, surface performance and suitability for high-use learning environments.

For routine cleaning, use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent. Furnware Power Cleaner may also be used where required. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage laminate surfaces.

See our Cleaning Care Guide for more tips on how to keep your surfaces looking like new.
