Sound Wall is a free-standing acoustic divider that reduces background noise in open learning environments. Available in two heights, it helps schools create quieter zones within classrooms, staffrooms, libraries and administration areas without the need for fixed partitions. Acoustic PET panels achieve an NRC rating of 0.8, absorbing up to 80% of sound energy.
Open-plan learning environments can generate significant background noise, making it difficult for students to focus on individual tasks or for teachers to run small group sessions without distraction. Sound Wall helps create quieter learning zones that reduce background noise and echo without altering the room.
Two height options suit different applications. The 1228 mm landscape configuration divides space while maintaining sightlines across the room, while the 1828 mm portrait configuration provides greater visual and acoustic privacy for breakout work, quiet reading and individual assessment. Both configurations use the same clip-together panel system with low-profile steel footplates.
The FSC-certified Radiata plywood frame supports acoustic PET panels made from 100% polyester with up to 60% recycled content. The panels are fire tested to EN13501, and the soft-touch surface also functions as a pinboard for displaying student work, notices and classroom resources.

Clean panels with a lightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the acoustic PET surface or using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Wipe footplates with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not apply harsh chemicals to the powder-coated finish.
Open-plan learning environments can create background noise and echo that make it harder for students to concentrate and for teachers to communicate effectively. Sound Wall helps create quieter learning zones by absorbing sound, reducing reverberation and providing visual separation without the need for permanent partitions.
