The Lab Bench is a standing-height work bench designed for STEM, makerspace, technology and art learning environments. At 900 mm high, it allows students to stand and work or sit on a lab stool, and is available in three popular widths, two depths and three frame options to suit different specialist spaces. A high pressure laminate surface upgrade is available for environments where the bench needs to withstand heavier use.
• Standing height (900 mm) suits STEM, makerspace, technology and art rooms
• Three frame options: foot rail, H frame and Y frame, plus heavy duty option
• High pressure laminate (HPL) upgrade for harder-wearing specialist environments
• Three widths and two depths to suit different room configurations
• Optional castors on 2 or 4 legs for easy repositioning
The Lab Bench is designed for STEM rooms, makerspaces, technology classrooms and art labs where students need a generous, durable work surface at standing height. At 900 mm high, it can be used standing or with a Bodyfurn Lab Stool, giving students a choice of working position throughout the lesson. Generous width options, 1200 mm, 1500 mm and 1800 mm, provide ample space for practical activities and group projects.
Three frame options suit different environments and preferences. The foot rail frame provides a full perimeter rail for foot support at standing height, the H frame offers lateral cross bracing, and the Y frame uses angled bracing for stability. A heavy duty option with 38 mm round legs and no bracing is available for environments where maximum frame strength is needed. Optional castors, on 2 or 4 legs, allow benches to be moved to the edge of the room when floor space is needed for practical activities.
The standard bench top is 18 mm MDF with a Fog grey edge and LPL laminate surface. For specialist environments where the bench needs to stand up to harsher use, a high pressure laminate (HPL) top is available in six colours. HPL is a thicker, more durable surface that has antimicrobial properties. It is not chemical resistant. An LPL writeable surface option is also available, giving students a note-taking and brainstorming surface directly on the tabletop.

Optional castors on 2 or 4 legs allow benches to be moved to the edges of the room when floor space is needed for practical STEM or makerspace activities. Castors on 2 legs allow the bench to pivot and wheel on one end; castors on 4 legs allow full mobility.
The Lab Bench supports active, practical learning in specialist environments by providing a standing-height work surface that allows students to choose whether to stand or sit on a lab stool during lessons. Varying working position throughout the school day can help reduce discomfort from extended periods of seated learning.
The generous bench top dimensions give students ample space for practical activities, experiments and creative projects, reducing competition for workspace during group tasks. Optional castors give teachers the flexibility to quickly reconfigure the room to create open floor space for practical or collaborative activities, without disruption.
