Overview

Versatile soft seating for social, collaborative and senior learning spaces

The Base Couch is designed for schools, campuses and community environments that want comfortable, adaptable soft seating across a variety of shared spaces. Its clean, low-profile form suits reception areas, offices, common rooms and senior learning hubs, and it works as effectively on its own as it does combined with other pieces from the Base Modular Range.

Seven width options, from 500 mm to 1800 mm, give schools significant flexibility when planning spaces. The single fixed depth of 700 mm and a choice of three seat heights, 360 mm, 410 mm and 460 mm with corresponding back heights, mean the couch can be matched to different age groups and tables across the school. Optional castors, including two braked castors, allow it to be repositioned with ease when layouts need to change.

Built on 89 mm Silver Star powder-coated steel legs with a high-quality, high-density foam seat and back, the Base Couch is designed for long-term use in busy education environments. Upholstery options include vinyl, textile and the Ako fabric range, crafted in collaboration with Hawke’s Bay Maori artist Jacob Scott, supporting colour, identity and belonging across learning spaces.
