Modular double-sided bookcases for libraries and learning spaces

The Bookworm™ brings flexibility to book storage in school libraries and classrooms. Its double-sided shelving means books are accessible from both sides, making it practical as a shared class resource or as a soft room divider that creates distinct zones within an open learning space.

Three modular formats give schools the freedom to build configurations that suit their space. Single and double bay units can be arranged in straight runs, while the curved unit introduces gentle lines that work well at the end of a row or as a standalone feature. Units can be combined to create bespoke arrangements suited to any library or learning hub layout.

A decorative perforated steel centre panel in a powder-coat silver finish adds structural rigidity and a contemporary look, while heavy duty castors – two braked – allow the unit to be repositioned or rolled aside as layouts change. The extended sides support safe placement of items on top, adding a practical display surface above the shelving.

Each shelf bay provides 300mm of depth and 330mm of height, accommodating a wide range of book sizes. On the tall standard and double bay formats, the lowest shelf is adjustable to suit larger resources. The standard height suits primary and junior library settings; the tall format suits secondary and tertiary environments where greater capacity is needed.
