The Mindfull Hideaway Hood is a personal retreat space designed to help students find calm, carry out a solo task or take a quiet break within a busy classroom or open-plan learning environment. Part of the Mindfull range, it combines a durable timber structure with acoustic panels and upholstered surfaces, giving one to two students a defined, sheltered space away from classroom activity.
The Hideaway Hood is part of the Mindfull range, designed to help schools create dedicated spaces where students can find a moment of calm within a busy learning environment. Its arched hood and upholstered interior create a sheltered space for one to two students to work independently, rest or self-regulate before returning to classroom activity.
The acoustic panels lining the interior help reduce surrounding noise and distraction, supporting students who benefit from a quieter, more defined space. Materials and colourways are inspired by nature, with soft textures and muted tones designed to support a sense of calm. The Hideaway Hood is suitable for classrooms, libraries, wellbeing rooms and breakout spaces where sensory-friendly seating is part of the learning environment design.
The hood is constructed from FSC certified plywood with a polyester and wool blend fabric outer and PET acoustic panel lining. The Hideaway Seat, Laylow Pad and Laylow Raft are available as optional accessories, each sold separately, and can be used to add comfort and personalise the space inside the hood. Assembly is required and takes place on-site using supplied hardware.
